"Archana

    Archana Ganaraj, M.D.

    Dr. Ganaraj grew up in Tylertown, Mississippi where she was the older daughter of the town’s only surgeon. Her interest in medicine started at a very early age and both she and her sister became physicians. According to Dr. Ganaraj:

    “As breast cancer care has evolved, it has truly become a multidisciplinary field. One of the goals of the Breast Cancer Alliance at the Margot Perot Center is to facilitate the delivery of breast cancer care into a seamless continuum. The average breast cancer patient will have a radiologist, breast surgeon, medical oncologist, radiation oncologist, and perhaps even a plastic surgeon involved in her care. Our goal is to coordinate all of these fields and physicians into one integrated plan tailored to meet the particular needs of each individual cancer patient. We want to make sure that the lines of communication are always open not only between the patient and her physicians, but also among the physicians themselves. We want to educate our patients so they can be active participants in the decision making that governs their care.”

    Dr. Ganaraj attended Yale University where she received a B.S. in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry. She went on to the University of Mississippi to earn her M.D. degree. She then moved to Dallas and finished five years of general surgery training at Baylor University Medical Center. After completing her residency, Dr. Ganaraj pursued a surgical breast oncology fellowship at Memorial – Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. During her training, she was extensively involved in breast cancer research. Her special area of research interest was sentinel lymph node technology and its applications to various clinical situations. Dr. Ganaraj is board certified in general surgery. She is delighted to be back in Dallas as part of the Breast Cancer Program at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas. She is exclusively dedicated to treating breast cancer and other disorders of the breast.

"carousel1":
["40
{"@type":"Place
{"@type":"PostalAddress
["www.onbutterflieswings.org?id=2243

@context":"http://schema.org","@type":"Event
ArtBark Dallas

Hello!
