A Down-To-Earth Organization That Is All About Hope

Thank you, Thank you

THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

Our hearts are filled with gratitude to all of those who participated in the ON BUTTERFLIES WINGS INAUGURAL TEA! The event was a huge success! Our goal was to raise $10,000 in support of Texas Health Resources Foundation for a healing garden at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas new cancer center. We met and exceeded that goal by raising over $14,000! The proceeds will be added to the funds that have already been raised by On Butterflies Wings for the healing garden which will benefit our patients, families and those who work tirelessly to support the cancer program at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas.

Thank you, Laurie Daum; headmaster of Good Shepherd Episcopal School

Over 120 guests attended the tea including physicians, nurses, breast cancer survivors, community leaders and friends of On Butterflies Wings.
Thank you to our major sponsors, Myriad who underwrote the wonderful tea lunch provided by Preston Hollow Catering and Tiffany & Co.
The Inaugural Tea began with a fabulous silent auction with approximately 40 donated items that raised over $4,000! Thank you to our major sponsors, Myriad who underwrote the wonderful tea lunch provided by Preston Hollow Catering and Tiffany & Co. for the gorgeous necklace/earring set and the beautiful suede handbag that were prizes in two rounds of the Heads and Tails necklace games. Lucky winners, Brenda Casey, Texas Oncology and Mirian Hessler, Women’s Diagnostic and Breast Center at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas both were beaming when the last flip of the coin landed exactly where they had “struck their pose”!

Breast Cancer Survivors; Sonya Alejo, Director of Volunteer Services at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas and Stacy Reed gave inspiring testimonials of their “journeys of HOPE” that added greatly to an already amazing line up of speakers! The tea ended on a high note…A beautiful and prayerful butterfly release in Good Shepherd Episcopal School’s courtyard. Thank you, Chaplain Rhonda Shannon, for the blessing of the butterflies as they were released into a sunny sky despite the chilly weather. Many prayers were lifted and released at that moment of HOPE! A great ending to a great day!
Words cannot express the gratitude for Sheri Bastie who tirelessly worked for the On Butterflies Wings Inaugural Tea.
Words cannot express the gratitude for Sheri Bastie who tirelessly worked for the On Butterflies Wings Inaugural Tea. As a friend and a supporter, she should be crowned “SELFLESS VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR!” She brought her expertise, leadership, laughter and calm to what was becoming an overwhelming task. She was the “blessing” …. the answer to prayer. God does not give you more than you can handle…. He provides those that can give you the strength you need to carry on. THANK YOU, SHERI, for being the muscle and the spirit of this successful event!

  • The Mission of Hope Continues …

ON BUTTERFLIES WINGS continues to be blessed with volunteers who believe in the mission of HOPE! Today, 11-year cancer survivor and friend, Linda Alexander, presented ON BUTTERFLIES WINGS with hand-made, knitted hats that she made AND a box of various hats in different sizes and styles because hats were a very important part of her recovery. She says, "Each hat was made (including every stitch) as a gift back for every loving person who lifted her up" during her cancer journey. ON BUTTERFLIES WINGS will insure her hats and her heart❤️ are shared with love....
